every since i can remember every movie i've ever watched talks about Mr. Right. i mean even in disney they meet their "perfect" partner. its everywhere you look and then when you get in a relationship you expect this perfection. So my question.
Does Mr. Right exist? can anyone really be that perfect?
Mr. Right Fantasy or Reality?
Well I definitely think that every has a soulmate, whether or not people in happy relationships are with that 'soulmate' is another story, whether they have learnt to love them, grown to love them, forced to love them as there is no way out etc. Love definitely isn't perfect, no ones relationships is 'disney' perfect, it's just impossible. If only things in life were that simple to understand - what a wonderful world that would be!

...Who knows if they have found 'Mr Right'
*everyone has a soulmate
ReplyDeletei agree when do you know if hes the one? But do you agree with me that i think the media really rises the expectations and puts pressures on young men as they feel like they have to be this knight in shining armour and some girls expect that guy to be their edward cullen - nothing more nothing less. I even think some lyrics enhance this fact. And i mean imagine the horror if you thought you found your mr. right and then you lost him. do you believe you can loose your soulmate melissa? i think movies raise the expectations of young love and then it increases the chance of disappointment by 99%

Soulmates are quite a debatable subject, yes I believe in them, but who knows who their ACTUAL soulmate is? Could be anyone, anywhere? Loose your soulmate, I don't think they would be labelled as your soulmate if you lost them... To me when you have lived your life with that one special person right until the end - that is when you realise who your soulmate is, it's that old man staring at you with his bright eyes thinking "we have made it this far". That is a soulmate to me, you make your soulmate, you live with your soulmate, you prove yourselves to eachother. Love after life, yes, your soulmate will always be with you, body and soul.
ReplyDeleteI Agree with you there, i think someone cant just pop up and be like hey there i'm your soul mate. That isnt how the ball game works. I think you have to go through a journey - thats what makes them the soul mate. They stuck by you through everything. And without them you would be well worthless. i mean perhaps it could be an old flame? Or even a best friend. I even believe that perhaps your soulmate isnt a romantical partnershup afterall? Perhaps its a dear friend you love with all your heart? i think everyone has one though - be it best friend or not. and i often wonder if its possible you just dont see your soulmate when there right in front of you and you could let them pass you by?
ReplyDeletegod we're gunna have a fun debate here melissa ;)
I reckon your soulmate, anyones is standing right infront of them... the person they think about everyday, or maybe unaware that they are, but in the back of their minds this person means the absolute world to them.
ReplyDeleteI always imagined that when you meet your soulmate you just kind of know. Theres something intriguing and you just know, i admit i often worry that you know i may have lost my soulmate e.g. scott. But i mean surely if it was the soulmate principle. You cant loose them seeing as there the soulmate. I think in a way your soulmate is the one you least inspect to end up with the one who you never imagined you'd get with in a million years :')
ReplyDeleteYeah that is true :') or maybe someone totally knew that enters your life unexpectedly...
ReplyDeleteExactly, i always imagine that at first you dont like them at all but then you gradually start to fall in love with them - thats the soulmate principle. I also believe that there is someone before you meet your soulmate who you THINK is your soulmate but in reality - he really isnt. And some people make the mistake of stayying with him. Its like a fake soulmate. Hes like the one you shouldnt be with - but you want to be with. In a way its like your willing HIM to be your soulmate but that isnt how the game works.
